Dr. Ivana Baumgarten was born and raised in beautiful Slovenia, where she finished medical school and pediatric residency with a focus in infectious diseases. She spent many months in Africa working in different local health care settings. After meeting her future husband, they decided to settle in the U.S., where she has just finished her second pediatric residency at East Carolina University. In her free time, she can be found with her husband and kids somewhere in the nature.
